1. Attend a free "Jump-Start" Beginning Training Workshop. We include a 7-hour complementary hands-on "Jump-Start" basics training class with the purchase of ArchiCAD, held monthly in Irvine, San Diego, and Scottsdale. This class is essential to help you get started out right and focuses of best practives and optimal advice on producing architecture with ArchiCAD.
2. Transfer your CAD skills from other programs to ArchiCAD skills. CAD principles are CAD principles...its just that different programs have different buttons terminology to accomplish the same things. Read our "AutoCAD/ArchiCAD Cross-Training Guide" located at: digitalvis.com/archicad_tips.php
3. Start the interactive online training guide. Download the files at: Graphisoft.com/products/archicad/ac10/ITG
4. Start your first project by simply creating walls, doors, windows, slabs and furniture. Leave the roofs for later. Keep it simple, yet begin being productive.

7. Take advantage of on-line learning. Bookmark and visit:

8. Complete the interactive online training guide. (see step 3)
9. Get some in-house custom training. "No Train, No Gain": schedule a custom in-house Intermediate or Advanced Training series with Digital Vision.

10. Start setting up your office templates. There are many template options found in your Graphisoft/ArchiCAD 9/ArchiCAD Templates folder. We recommend basing your office template on the MaxATS templates found in the Additional Templates folder. However, for the latest version of the MaxATS templates, visit our Support >Downloads section at: digitalvis.com/downloads.php (For additional information on templates and office standards, print out and read "Intro to Office Standards" in the Graphisoft Documentation folder on your ArchiCAD 9 installation CD).
11. Take advantage of "Project Assistance." Let us or a Project Assistant consultant hold your hand on a consulting basis on your first project. Once you complete an entire project in ArchiCAD and PlotMaker, the major learning curve will be behind you and the virtual building process will be internalized. 12. Complete your first full project, by using ArchiCAD throughout the entire architectural process: schematic design, design development, presentations and working drawings.
